Please carefully read the following information on the processing of personal data that is provided when completing the online form, sending emails, issuing mandates or, in any case, when communicating information to the law firm. Dear User/Client, pursuant to art. 13 of the Italian Legislative Decree no. 196/2003 (hereinafter the “Code”), and in relation to the personal data which the Zarcone law firm, based in Palermo, Via Valerio Villareale, 47, will come into possession, we inform you of the following:

 

1. Purpose of the data processing.

The processing is aimed exclusively at the correct and complete execution of your request for information and/or any professional assignment received or to be conferred, both with regard to judicial and extra- judicial matters.

2. Data processing methods.

a) The processing is carried out by means of the actions or set of actions indicated in art. 4 paragraph 1 letter a) of the Code: collection, registration, organization, storage, consultation, processing, modification, selection, extraction, comparison, use, interconnection, blocking, communication, cancellation and destruction of data.

b) The actions can be carried out with or without the aid of electronic or automated tools and through cloud-computing systems.

c) The processing is carried out by the owner and/or by the persons in charge of the processing.

3. Provision of data.

The provision of the e-mail address is strictly necessary for the purposes of carrying out the activities referred to in point 1. The provision of any other data is entirely optional.

4. Refusal to provide data.

Any refusal by the interested party to provide personal data in the case referred to in point 3 makes it impossible to carry out the activities referred to in point 1.

5. Data communication.

Personal data may come to the attention of the persons in charge of the processing and may be communicated for the purposes referred to in point 1 to external collaborators, subjects operating in the judicial sector, to counterparties and related defence lawyers, to boards of arbitrators and, in general, to all those subjects to whom the communication is necessary for the correct fulfilment of the purposes indicated in point 1. The personal data controller and the persons in charge of the processing are subject to the obligations established by the anti-money laundering legislation. As a result, the provision of data implies the awareness that the data, if deemed unquestionably relevant by the data controller, for the purposes of communicating obligations regarding anti-money laundering, may be transferred to the competent Authorities. The Client relieves the data controller and/or the appointees from any liability deriving from the compliance with anti-money laundering legislation.

6. Data disclosure.

Personal data is not subject to disclosure. However, it can be used in order to send you notifications or information on the activities carried out by the law firm or on site updates.

7. Transfer of data abroad.

Personal data may be transferred to countries within the European Union or even countries outside the European Union, as well as transferred at any time from one country to another, without notice, for the purposes referred to in point 1.

8. Data subjects’ rights.

Art. 7 of the Code grants data subjects the option to exercise specific rights, including that of obtaining confirmation from the data controller of the existence, or otherwise, of their personal data including making the data available in an intelligible form; data subjects have the right to know the origin of the data, the purpose and methods of the processing, the logic applied to the processing, the identity of the controller and the subjects to whom the data may be communicated; data subjects also have the right to obtain the updating, rectification and integration of data, cancellation, transformation into anonymous form or blocking of data processed in violation of the law; the data controller has the right to object, for legitimate reasons, to the processing of data.
